Meet the team

Haley, Colt, and Wes

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my two dogs, Colt and Wes. We enjoy eating, drinking, working, and travelling.

In 2021 I bought a house in the city and started turning the lawn into an edible, sustainable pollinator garden. The boys supervise.

About

hailey

Haley, but with AI.

You'll see "made by hailey" at the bottom of my pages. That's me, with AI helping. It builds the page while I'm out in the garden, stirring pepper jelly, or checking the milkweed. The knowledge, the photos, and the garden are mine. When Colt and Wes run out of ideas, I turn to AI to help me plan, build, review, and share what I've learned.

Why wildflowers

I care a lot about sustainability, and most of that shows up in my garden. I grow native wildflowers because they give back more than they take. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center points out that native plants help conserve water, protect the soil, and clean our air. Planted where rain runs off, they soak it up and filter it before it can carry pollution into the water we all share. They feed the bees and butterflies too.

Why AI

There's always more to learn and more to do: seeds to start, caterpillars to raise, recipes to test, cities to see, a type 1 setup to figure out. AI helps me share what I can, when I can, so what I learn along the way doesn't just stay in my notes.

I know AI uses real energy, and that sits alongside everything I just said about caring for the planet. So I use it on purpose, for work that helps people learn and grow things, not just to make more stuff.
